The short version
If the same problem comes back on the same unit within the warranty period on our labor, we return and put it right at no additional labor charge. If we cannot, we discuss the money.
The diagnostic fee
- It is credited toward the repair when you go ahead with the work.
- It is payable if you decide not to proceed — the visit, the testing and the written scope have happened either way.
- It is not charged if we cancel, or if we cannot get access at the agreed time for reasons outside your control.
Work that did not fix the problem
Tell us. A repair that did not hold is a call we would rather take than lose you over: we come back, look again, and if the original diagnosis was wrong we do not charge you twice for finding that out. Where a part we installed has failed, the part manufacturer’s warranty applies and we handle the claim.
Parts already ordered
OEM parts are ordered against your specific model once you approve the work. If you cancel after a part has been ordered, we will tell you honestly whether it can be returned — some can, some are non-returnable — and what that means for the figure.
When a repair is not worth doing
If the diagnosis shows that the work approaches what the unit is worth, we say so on the visit rather than after the invoice. You pay the diagnostic fee and nothing more.
Raising a problem
Call (305) 570-1472 and tell us the address and the date of the visit. We would rather hear it directly and early.
